あまりに才気走った感のあるミシェル・ルグラン。この人がスタン・ゲッツのために書いたスコアは、そういうところが出ていて、”うーん”と腕を組んでしまった。
しかしこのアルバムは違う。もっと純粋な、ルグランの「ジャズ愛とあこがれ」が
詰まっている。ピアノ・トリオで演奏されるスタンダードの数々は、オーソドックスな
スタイル。ルグランはオスカー・ピーターソンなどのスイングする黒人ピアニストを
意識した演奏で、達者な指使い。アレンジャーとしても彼らしい工夫が施されている。
M５「Paris canaille（パリの悪党）」はルグランらしい可愛い奏で方で、
M６「我が愛するパリ」はパーカッションが大活躍。全体としては粋なBGMといった趣き。
このシリーズの特徴である、録音の良さとジャケットの趣味の良さもあって、おしゃれな
ショップなどにあればぴったり。
