ASPR（アサプラ） TE-00C14 SL series 14インチ スネアヘッドプラスチックPETフィルムを全く使わないスネアドラム用SL（シンセティックレザー）ヘッド。独自の技術により基材に高張力繊維「テクノーラ」を使用、合成皮革（シンセティックレザー）材料との組合せで本皮により近い商品です。
【フィルム素材を使っていないドラムヘッド】
フィルム素材のヘッドは、テンションがチューニングボルトから放射状にかかり、ドラム周辺部と中心部とでテンションの差が大きく、周辺部では倍音が多くなる等、叩く部分で音色の差が大きかったのに対し、織物素材のヘッドは、糸が縦横に張られる構造のため、周辺部と中心部でのテンションの差が比較的少なく、気になる周辺部での倍音が少ない打面全体で均質な音色を得られます。
【強力なアラミド繊維が余裕のある「振動＝響き」を実現】
鉄の８倍の引張強度を持つといわれるアラミド繊維「テクノーラ」を使うことで、テンションが素材の伸びで打ち消されることなくヘッド全体に伝わるため、振動に余裕が生まれ、特に高いピッチにチューニングをした場合等のドラム中心部で音の詰り感が少なく、伸びのある響きを維持できます。
また、時代が変わっても本皮のドラムの音は理想の音の一つですが、本皮の性質である強い収縮力とアラミド繊維の強い引張強度は、結果的にドラムヘッド素材としての機能的な近さがあり、伝統的な本皮に対し、最先端の化学繊維技術によって膜振動としての共通性を確保しているとも言えます。
