ACTの名物ライヴに成長しているシリーズ新作は、ヨーロッパのルーツを探る旅!プロデュ-サー、シギ・ロッホが2012年にベルリンへ移住し、アルフレッド・ブレンデルのピアノを落札・寄贈したことをきっかけに、ジャズ・コンサートが始動。ピアニスト3名、イン・ザ・カントリー+ノルウェー人、ラーシュ・ダニエルソン+弦楽四重奏、4大アコーディオン奏者、エスビョルン・スヴェンソン追悼作と、毎回趣向を凝らしたテーマでシリーズが発展してきました。この第6弾は過去作とはかなり趣を異にしていて、ジャズのジャンルを逸脱した領域に迫っています。その中心人物を演じるのは、ノルウェーのブルース・ギタリスト、クヌート・ライエシュルード。自身のリーダー作『Tears Of The World』では母国のジャズ・ミュージシャン多数を迎えて、ジャズとの協調性を示している人物です。ECMのリーダー作で知られるアレ・メッレルらと共に、北欧のノルウェー、スウェーデン、英国のアイルランド、スコットランド、北米各国の伝統音楽をカヴァー。ギター、フィドル、ベースの弦楽器に、トランペット、サックス、パーカッション、ヴォーカルが一体となって奏でるサウンドは、長い歴史の中で受け継がれてきた音楽の、豊かな実りを体感させてくれます。音楽ジャンルに優劣がないことを示してきたACTならではの、刺激に満ちた作品です。
