ダン・エクルストン・バンドは、ピアニストのダン・エクルストンを中心にロンドンで結成。2005年にデビュー・アルバム Delphy をリリースし、BBC Radio One のジャイルス・ピーターソンや JazzFM のマイク・チェドウィックにヘヴィープレイされ高い評価を得たジャズ・クインテット。
2年間の歳月を経て制作された本作は、ミニマル・ミュージックの巨匠スティーヴ・ライヒとの共作である02を始め、ドラマチックなタイトル曲07、流麗なピアノ・フレーズがループする08など、最高にダイナミックでスリリングなアルバムに仕上がっています。
