チョウ・シャオトン(アン・アン)は資産家の孫娘でお金持ちのお嬢様。資産目当てではなく、心から自分のことを思ってくれる男性を探していた。祖父の会社に入ってきた新入社員のユー・ズーハオ(スン・イージョウ)を見初めて交際をはじめるが、実はすべてがズーハオの仕組んだ罠。貧しい身分出身のズーハオは成り上がりを狙って巧みにシャオトンの心を操るのを、孤児院時代からの親友ユースー(イ・スンヒョン)は許せない。いつしかユースー自身もシャオトンに秘めた恋を抱くようになるが、シャオトンとズーハオの仲はどんどん進展し、やがて婚約へ……。ところが、シャオトンの祖父が急死することで3人の環境は急変する。祖父さんの後妻が会社を牛耳りズーハオ追放に動き、ズーハオの元嫁(！)が突然現れてシャオトンとズーハオの地位を脅かすなど事件が続出。愛を誓い合ったはずの2人の仲は……。
