－メンデルスゾーン少年時代の作品である12曲の弦楽のための交響曲 (シンフォニア) からの選曲。[1,2]は4楽章からなり、[3]はひとつの楽章のみ。他の楽章が失われた可能性ありとのこと。－オルフェウス室内管は 同曲集の他の曲を録音していません (2024年7月現在)。ただし1988年 クレーメル、アルゲリッチとメンデルスゾーンの若書きの協奏曲を録音していました。
