テキサスのマイナーレーベル「SARG RECORDS」からリリースされた、ザ・メダリオンズのファーストシングル「愛のひととき」です。
ザ・メダリオンズはこのファーストシングルと、同年1961年にリリースしたセカンドシングルの2枚のみで消えたテキサスのマイナー・ガレージ・フォークグループです。今作は1964年に日本の「UNION RECORDS」からリリースされ、日本のみ独自ジャケット付きのファーストシングルで、クランプスのラックスあたりが好きそうなホーン入りの「愛のひととき」と、サーフインスト「ホーム・タウン」を収録しています。なかなか見かけない希少シングルです。
