- 美しいコバ処理にこだわる貴方へ。捻入れ工具、玉捻です。材質から使い心地迄こだわった逸品をどうぞ。
- 捻とはレザークラフトでのコバ処理時に使う道具で、熱した捻を押し当てます。そうするとコバに平行なラインが入り見た目の美しさだけではなく、革が焼ける事により繊維が強くなり耐久性が増します。
- 初めにアルコールランプで玉捻を適温に熱し、ロウを溶かしてコバ面に塗ります。ロウは糸引き用やコバワックス等でOKです。その後再度、玉捻を温め捻入れを行います。飾り捻といわれる程で熟練度によってその表情が変わります。
- サイズは先端の幅で小さいサイズは、薄い革。大きいサイズは厚手の革に適しております。使われる皮革の厚みと、ステッチとコバまでの距離で使い勝手の良いサイズをお勧め致します。熱加減が難しいのでヌメ革のハギレ等で練習を行うのが良いと思います。
