単行本です。 きれいなほうです。『昭和天皇実録』は平成2年より、宮内庁において24年間の歳月をかけ編修され、平成26年8月、本文60巻が天皇皇后両陛下に奉呈されました。
明治34年の御誕生から昭和64年の崩御に至るまでの89年間、「激動の時代」を生きた天皇の御事蹟、そしてそれにまつわる日本の政治、社会、文化などを余すところなく記述されています。
そこにはそれまで知られていなかった昭和天皇の生きた御姿とその時代が、生き生きと記されています。
【『昭和天皇実録 第三』(大正十年~大正十二年)の内容】
二十歳を目前にした皇太子裕仁親王は、六か月の欧洲巡遊に出発される。
各国首脳と市民から盛大な歓迎を受ける一方、第一次世界大戦の惨禍を目のあたりにし、戦争というものの悲惨さを深く胸に刻まれた。
帰国後、国民の大きな期待の中、摂政に御就任、あらたな日本の行く末を担うこととなる。しかしそこに待ち受けていたのは、空前の大震災、そして襲撃未遂事件であった。
