商品解説■レオパルト2は1977年にレオパルト1の後継として採用されたドイツ陸軍の主力戦車です。
レオパルト2A7Vはレオパルト2シリーズの最新型で従来型と比べて車体前面のパッシブアーマー追加により防御力、ギアボックスとサイドトランスミッションの変更により機動力、
砲手用の第3世代熱画像装置の追加などにより火力などが大幅に向上しています。
加えて補助電源装置や新型のNBC保護システム、最新のネットワーク通信システムなども搭載されています。また新型のパワーパックの採用により、装備重量が増加しても機動力は向上しています。
レオパルト2A7Vは2019年からドイツ連邦軍に初号車が引き渡されて、2021年に部隊配備されました。ドイツ連邦軍では2023年までに104両が導入予定で、デンマークも2022年までに44両調達予定です。
