創刊して現在に至ります。
1980年代当時は「どこかへ旅しては、
面白いネタを拾ってきて特集にする」
という編集方針のもと、歴代編集長の
木滑、石川両氏が若手スタッフを連れ
世界中を旅したといわれています。
海外取材費に糸目を付けない編集方針が、
バブル経済前夜の時代の雰囲気にマッチ
して成功を収めました。
BRUTUSのバックナンバーを開くと、
80年代の時代の雰囲気を体感できます。
