－異色のカップリングですが、歯切れのよい強靭な音を駆使した力強いドラマティシズム、一方で 透明感ある叙情性も表現しており、[1]では現代のスタンダードともいうべき見事な演奏を聞かせてくれます。また美しく雄弁なオケも大変 魅力的。[2]ではよく整理されたテクスチュアでありながら雄弁なオケが一層 印象的。ポッリーニとともにスリリングで息詰まるような音楽を作り上げており、平易ではないこの曲を初めて聞くのにオススメしたい親しみやすい演奏となっています。この意外な2曲のカップリングというのは、ロマン派の流れとしてのシェーンベルクという意味があるのでしょうか。－なお[2]の第2部 (TRACK5) のタイム表示が 7'31 と記載されていますが、実際は 2'31 で、トータルタイムも5分多く書かれています。
