【採取場所】 長崎県
スナゴケは星砂のような姿をした小さな葉が特徴の苔の一つです。
繊細な見た目に反して、とても強く丈夫な苔で、庭に植えたり、テラリウムにして楽しまれるなど人気です。
直射日光や暑さ寒さにも強く、苔の生育環境として厳しいと言われる屋上の緑地素材としても利用されており、ヒートアイランド現象の抑制に期待されています。
スナゴケはジメジメした場所が苦手なので、湿気のこもる容器での栽培にはあまり向いていません
テラリウムで楽しみたい場合は、オープンタイプの容器を使用することがおすすめです。
