学名：Deutzia gracilis
アジサイ科ウツギ属
落葉低木
【商品説明】
ウツギは5～6月に枝先に白い花を多くつけます。サクラが咲き終わり新緑が映える頃になると咲きます。花は前年伸びた枝からでます。樹高は2.5ｍぐらいまでとあまり大きくなりません。株立ち状に成長します。昔から観賞用によく植栽されていました。北海道から九州まで幅広く自生しています。色々な品種があります。
【育て方】
日当たりが良いところを好みますが半日陰でも大丈夫です。土壌は選びません。水はけがよく肥沃な土地を好みます。剪定は2月か11月頃おこないます。切り詰めたり、込み合った枝をきるようにします。花は前年伸びた枝につきますので考慮したほうが良いでしょう。
