さまざまなジャンルで活動するクリエーター8人が集ったスーパー副業バンド「トーベヤンソン・ニューヨーク」が、バンド初となる11曲入りアルバム「Someone Like You」を発売! !
トーベヤンソン・ニューヨークは2011年結成。グラフィックデザイナー森敬太、マンガ家の西村ツチカと金子朝一、サラリーマンMC・オノマトペ大臣、トラックメイカーmochilon、編集者でベーシストの唐木元、プログラマー玉木大地、そしてジェットコースターポップ・ユニット・スカートとして活動する澤部渡という、年齢もバックグラウンドもバラバラな8人組です。
下北沢インディーファンクラブでは出演するたび入場規制を巻き起こし、バンドマン界隈からは“なんで”との声多数の8人組。それもそのはず、メンバーはマンガ家、デザイナー、プログラマー、もしくはミュージシャンなんだけど専門が別の楽器。でもなんだかそれが上手く作用して、音が出るだけでやたらに楽しい、誰が呼んだか“永遠の軽音楽部”。ファースト・アルバム、堂々完成。 (C)RS
