21世紀のボロディン四重奏団
1945年に結成され何度かメンバー変更を行い、60年以上経った現在でも活動を続けているボロディン弦楽四重奏団。
2008年12月に惜しくも亡くなられたチェロのヴァレンティン・ベルリンスキーは、創設時から2007年まで62年に渡って在籍し、同団の精神的支柱となっていた傑物。
このベートーヴェン全集は、2002年から2004年にかけてシャンドスによってセッション・レコーディングされたもので、ベルリンスキーとアブラメンコフという二人の大ベテランに、
アハロニアンとナイディンという新しいメンバーが加わっています。
