入数：1セット(2枚)
銅を基材として（全体の50％～60％）、カーボン、セラミック、錫、摩擦向上材等を混合し、650度～800度の温度で焼き固めたパットをシンタード（焼結）パット、又はメタルパットといいます。
焼き固める際に溶着性をよくするために、バックプレートは銅メッキをします。
メタルパットは色々な原材料が使用されておりますが、キャリパーの機構、ローターの外径、ブレーキをかける力を考慮して材料を配合します。材料の配合比率により，ブレーキの効き、磨耗、ローターとの相性等の性能特性を出すことができます。
