2003年の阪神タイガース（2003ねんのはんしんタイガース）では、2003年の阪神タイガースにおける動向。
概要[編集]
2年目の星野監督の元で断行された「血の入れ替え」によって1/3以上の26人の選手を大きく入れ替えた。投手コーチ（ブルペン担当）に西本聖を、バッテリーコーチに前広島監督達川光男を招聘し、2軍監督であった岡田彰布が三塁コーチとして1軍首脳陣に加わった。開幕の対横浜戦（浜スタ）こそ敗戦したが、2戦目から手堅く勝ち星を重ね、4月26日の広島戦（甲子園）で8回表終了時に6点ビハインドからその裏の攻撃で一気に9点を取り13対10で大逆転勝ちした試合から首位に立った。
しかし、4番打者濱中治が5月20日対広島戦（甲子園）で一塁走者から牽制帰塁の際に右肩を脱臼して戦線離脱し、控え外野手であった桧山進次郎が濱中に代わる4番打者を務める形になった。チームの勢いは衰えず、7月終了時点で2位に17.5ゲーム差の大差を付けた。
7連勝後の9月4日対広島戦（広島市民）からは足踏み状態となったが、2位以下とのゲーム差が開いていたこともあってマジックを減らし続けた。そのまま2位以下を全く寄せ付けず、9月15日に18年ぶりのセ・リーグ優勝をぶっちぎりで飾った[2]。優勝決定後の星野監督の第一声は「ああ、しんどかった」であった[3][4]。
