キャロルから1年遅れの73年デビュー。「革ジャン・リーゼント・サングラス」がトレードマークのキャロルとの差別化を図り、「つなぎ」で対抗。ブルースを基調としたロックサウンドを展開するバンドだったが、コミカルな曲も人気が高かった。作品の大半は阿木燿子とリーダー宇崎の作詞作曲であるが、この夫婦コンビはグループ活動中から解散した81年以降現在に至るまで、山口百恵を始め多くのアーティストに楽曲を提供し、日本のポップスシーンに欠かせない存在となった。
