この胸の高鳴りは、恋ですか？/ソウルの総合病院に勤務するウンジェ(ハ・ジウォン)は誰もが認める優秀な外科医。手術の腕前は天才的な反面、自分の気持ちを表すのが下手で、人付き合いは大の苦手。離島で暮らす母親との間には長年の確執を抱えていた。一方、離島を回る病院船に内科医のヒョン(カン・ミンヒョク)が着任する。ヒョンは消化不良を訴える一人の中年女性に、念のため病院で精密検査を受けるよう促す。/その頃、ウンジェの元に母から電話がかってくる。多忙を理由に冷たくあしらうウンジェだったが、間もなくして母は心臓発作で倒れ、駆けつけたウンジェの目の前で息を引き取ってしまう。ウンジェはソウルの病院を去り、母の面影をたどって病院船に赴任。他人と距離をおくウンジェは病院船で孤立していくが、不器用ながらも芯の強いウンジェの姿にふれたヒョンは、次第に惹かれていく。そんなある日、ウンジェは過去の診察記録の中から母親のカルテを見つける。そして、母親を最後に診察したのがヒョンであったことを知ってしまう。
