シンセサイザー、サックス、ドラムという特異な編成でパンクロック、ジャズ、トランス等様々なジャンルを横断しダンスフロアを揺らし続けているザ・コメット・イズ・カミング。本作はイギリスにあるピーター・ガブリエル所有のリアルワールド・スタジオでレコーディングされた。バンドの長年のエンジニアであるクリスチャン・クレイグ・ロビンソンと共に、トリオは4日間のレコーディングを敢行。その後ダナログとベータマックスが録音を入念にサンプリングし、深遠かつ首尾一貫した音楽的メッセージを持つ今回の作品が生み出されたという。 (C)RS
