商品解説■103系は、国鉄初の新性能通勤車101系を手本とし、より経済性を重視して設計された汎用通勤型電車です。
1963(昭和38)年から3400両あまりが製造され、東京首都圏や大阪近畿圏を中心に通勤輸送の花形として活躍してきました。
国鉄の分割民営化後はJR北海道とJR四国を除くJR各社に引き継がれ、それぞれ半世紀にわたって活躍してきましたが、いよいよ終焉を迎えています。
JR西日本では現在、一部の路線にわずかに残るのみとなっています
