商品解説■──塗装済みキットの103系関西形初期車 クハとサハは単品、モハとクモハは2両セットに
103系は、国鉄初の新性能通勤車101系をベースに、より経済性を重視して設計された汎用通勤形電車です。
1963(昭和38)年から3400両あまりが製造され、首都圏や近畿圏を中心に通勤輸送の花形として活躍してきました。
国鉄の分割民営化後はJR北海道とJR四国を除くJR各社に引き継がれ、それぞれ半世紀にわたって活躍してきましたが、いよいよ終焉を迎えつつあります。
