アムステルダムのコンセルトヘボウ大ホールでの録音。『フィンガルの洞窟』は1947年録音で演奏時間8分42秒と、1960年EMIセッション録音の10分13秒に対し大幅に速くなっています。当時のクレンペラーはブダペスト国立歌劇場の音楽監督に就任したばかりで、1954年の大けがや1958年のおおやけどの前ということもあり、速めのテンポとなっています。
トータル53分51秒と1951年VOXセッション録音の51分20秒ほどではないもののかなりの快速演奏。ハース版。
