| ■商品説明 | ピエール＝オーギュスト・ルノワール【1841-1919】フランスの印象派の画家であり、その作品は日本でも広く知られています。長男のピエールは俳優、次男のジャンは有名な映画監督と、一際芸術家肌な一家だったのかも知れませんね。黎明期の彼も、他の印象派の画家たちと同様に風景画も制作しましたが、特に人物を好んで描き、裸婦像、少女像などを得意としていました。1898年頃からリューマチ性疾患に悩まされ、晩年は車椅子で制作を続けたそうです。その時、「指に筆をくくりつけて描いた」という有名なエピソードがありますが、真偽の程は不明で、半ば伝説の域を出ないとされています。ルノワールの作品全体には常に暖かい色調があり、美しさの中にも優しさの溢れた豊満な裸婦像は数多く日本にも早くから紹介され、その親しみやすい画風のためか愛好者も多く、根強い人気を誇っています。 |
