正確な製造年は不明（※シリアルナンバーより1922年と推測）ですが、ムーヴメントの形や装飾（エングレービング）の特徴より、1920年代製のエルジン7JEWELS懐中時計です。商品名にも記載のとおり稼働品です。知人からの依頼による代理出品ですが、現在、24時間平置き実測で日差1分以内と驚くほど快調に稼働しております。
もちろんヴィンテージ品ですので長期的な動作保証ができるものではありませんし、当然オーバーホールをおすすめ致しますが、多少重めのオイルで整備いただけるなら、この時代の時計にして十分常用に耐えるものと思われます。
20世紀初頭から第二次大戦までの「米国機械式時計の黄金時代」をウォルサムとともに牽引した双璧とも言えるエルジンナショナルウォッチ。
