<植物の特徴>
宿根草です。冬に葉を落としますが、根株が土の中で成長を続け毎年花を咲かせます。
草丈：約１０ｃｍ～２０ｃｍ
花期：春、秋
花色： 薄桃色、薄いピンク
＜育て方や感想＞
スミレは山野草です。花屋に並ぶ園芸種と同じ土で育てると肥料分が多すぎることにより枯れることがあります。開花花の次に閉鎖花が咲きます。
種から開花までの期間は約２年です。
スミレを鉢で育てる場合は、20㎝以上の深い鉢で育てるとより丈夫に育ちます。
エイザンスミレは、苗が小さいときは春のみの開花ですが、根株が大きくなると秋にも開花します。花色は、とてもきれいな薄桃色の花です。
花の少ない秋の季節、銀杏の葉が散るころに開花した時には大感激しました。
葉の形は、切れ込みのある葉です。花の時期が終わると葉が大きく成長し逞しさも感じます。
種柄の模様には特徴的な薄いピンク色や斑点が見られますので種の採種管理も楽です。
