BALMAIN（バルマン）は、1945年にピエール・バルマンが自身の名を冠したブランドとして設立されたフランスの人気ラグジュアリーブランドで、1950年代当時にはBALENCIAGA（バレンシアガ）やDIOR（ディオール）といった有名ブランドと並んで3大デザイナーに数えられおりました。2011年からroberto cavalli（ロベルト カヴァリ）出身のOlivier Rousteing（オリヴィエ・ルスタン）が若干25歳でアーティスティックディレクターに就任し、もともとドレスを得意とするレディースラグジュアリーブランドのイメージが強かったバルマンをエレガントでグラマラスながらもラグジュアリーなロックテイストなスタイルに生まれ変わりました。
