■作家詳細
山形博導 1948年 5月30日 滋賀県坂田郡米原町に生まれる
。 1972年 パリ国立美術学校の奨学生として、パリに留学。
1978年 ロサンゼルスに移住、最初の個展で大成功をおさめ、一夜にして不動の評価を得る。
1983年、彼の作品「エアー・ショー」はロナルド・レーガン元大統領が名誉会長を
つとめる米国組織委員会からエア・アンド・スペース200周年の公式ポスターに選ばれる
1984年ロス市観光誘致キャンペーン公式ポスター制作。 ロードアイランド州で9月21日を
「ヒロ・ヤマガタの日」に定め、 同州ワーウイック市より名誉市民の称号を受ける。
その後、彼は米国オリンピック協会からのロサンゼルスやカルガリーオリンピックの
公式ポスターの制作依頼や、米国政府や公的機関から数々のポスターの依頼を受けている。
彼のアートワークのテーマは絵画だけにとどまらず、ビンテージ・メルセデスベンツ
へ 自然と産業の融合をテーマにペインティングする「アースリーパラダイス」や、
1997年のアカデミー賞のパーティ会場のデザインを手掛けた事等でも有名である。
