信州にも大変ご縁の深い中村琢二氏ですが、特に伊那には氏の詠んだ「那谷に来にける夜更け 山の端の ひところ赤し月出」という詩が歌碑として残されています。こちらの絵はタイトル「伊那の春」として、アルプスの雄大な山々をバックに、晴れた日の自然の美しさを描いています。

《中村琢二 なかむら たくじ 1897年-1988年》
官展系で活躍した洋画家。新潟県生まれ。東京帝国大学経済学部卒。兄・中村研一（芸術院会員）の勧めで画家を志す。穏健な写実を基礎としつつ、軽妙な筆触と構図、中間色を用いた穏やかな作風で人気を博しました。
1928年 二科展出品／安井曽太郎に師事する

1962年 芸術選奨文部大臣賞受賞
1963年 日本芸術院賞受賞
