海のボート釣行の場合、ロッドホルダーに立てると、水抜き穴がむき出しになり、ボート移動時に海水が細かい飛沫となってリールの水抜き穴から塩水が侵入します。その際にこのゴム栓をつける事で塩水の侵入を防ぎます。
釣行時に蓋を利用し、メンテナンス時の水洗いの時やオイルを指したりする際は外してください。
ゴムがキツめなので、押し込みつつゲームのジョイコントローラーをグリグリ360°回すような要領で押し込んでいただくと穴に入ります。
オシアジガーにも同様の穴がありますが、回転パーツと干渉しますので使用できません。
