チタンにアルミとバナジウムをバランスよく組み合わせたTi-6AL-4Vと呼ばれる合金を採用。
アルミ6%、バナジウム4%の6:4の合金であることから64チタンと呼ばれています。
64チタン合金は純チタンに比べて、引張強さで1.7倍以上、耐力は3.8倍以上にもなる優れた強度を持ちながら重さは鉄の6割程度と軽量で腐食にも強い性質を持っています。
