巻は、数多くある篠竹の中から優れたものを選び、2 年ほど寝かせた竹を使用しています。外側は、竹本来の姿に籐を巻いた、昔ながらの伝統的な作りになっており、
竹の色が、だんだんと、味わい深い鼈甲色に変わってきます。
内側は合成漆塗り仕上げ、巻きは籐の他にも糸とビニールがあります。長くお使いいただける慈愛の一本です。
伝統ある大塚竹管の篠笛です。お祭りなどに使われるお囃子調です。
（合奏・洋楽器などと演奏の場合はドレミ調の笛をお勧めします。）
調子選びは各地の祭りやグループで同じものを使っている場合が多いです。
何本調子を使用しているか事前に確認することをお勧めします。
