細野晴臣が長編アニメーション映画『銀河鉄道の夜』のために書き下ろしたサウンドトラック『銀河鉄道の夜』がオリジナルの発売(1985年)以来、33年の年月を経て完全版としてリリース。宮沢賢治の代表作でありながら未完の名著とも言われるこの『銀河鉄道の夜』は、“ほんとうのさいわいとは、一体何だろう？”という大きなテーマを孕んでおり、その原作と杉井ギサブローの映像に対して細野が創った生と死のはざまに揺れるような宇宙的なサウンドが多くのファンの心に響いた。当時発表されなかった細野氏所有の貴重な音源と合わせて、この名作アルバムが完全版としてリリースされることが決定。 (C)RS
