【商品情報】
アジサイは日本の梅雨をイメージさせる有名な花木です。落葉低木で観賞用として多く植樹されています。群生して枝分かれして高さ3.0ｍほどになります。葉は厚く表には光沢があります。5～7月に花が咲きます。花色は基本的に青紫色ですが土壌の酸度によって青みが強くなったり赤みが強くなったりします。ガクアジサイ、ヤマアジサイ、コアジサイ等、多種多様な園芸品種があります。花木として庭木にしたり、根締めとして使われたりします。
【育て方】
半日陰を好み、耐陰性もあります。やや湿った肥沃な土壌を好みます。耐寒性は強いのですが花芽が凍害をうけることがあります。その場合は風除けが必要です。ほとんど肥料は必要としません。
