八角形(変形)の古伊万里・青磁・陰陽刻文様・香炉です。最大径１０．６cm、高さ８．４cm、高台径６．５cmで、目につく傷みはありません。
胎土の濁りを補うため、白土(しらつち)を掛けた後に青磁釉を掛けて焼成しています。
内部まで白土を掛けていますので、火入れとしてではなく、当初から香炉としてプロデュースされた品と思います。
日本の焼き物ですから、この白土を掛ける技法はやはり中国・唐三彩や、ペルシャ陶器あたりの影響を受けているのでしょうか、、、？
