佐藤博がロサンゼルスでの音楽活動後、1982年に発売した4枚目のオリジナル・アルバムでアルファレコード移籍第1弾アルバム。カナダ人女性ヴォーカリスト:ウェンディ・マシューズをフィーチャー、当時最先端のドラムマシン:リンドラムを導入し、佐藤博のハイ・クオリティなサウンド・センスとアメリカ西海岸の空気感とが見事に融合した作品。打ち込みの無機質さを全く感じさせないメロウ＆ソウルフルでボーダレスなサウンドは、世代を超え、今なお数多くのミュージシャンに大きな影響を与える永遠の名盤！山下達郎、松木恒秀、鳥山雄司がギタリストで参加している。40周年を記念してアナログ盤2枚組で発売し、Disc1は、1982年のオリジナル・ヴァージョンを収録。Disc2は、ヴォーカル曲のOff Vocal Track、Off SE(波の音)Track の他、1986年初CD化に際して加えられた「BLUE AND MOODY MUSIC (WENDY'S VERSION)」、2005年に佐藤博自らがリミックスをしたニューヴァージョンの「IT ISN'T EASY」を収録。Disc2は、今回初アナログ化となる。ディスク・カッティングは、日本の名匠・武沢茂氏、Disc1は透明水色盤、Disc2は透明盤となる。完全生産限定盤。
