1950〜70年代に主に旧西ドイツで作られたヴィンテージ花器になります。Fat Lavaとは「肥えた溶岩」を意味し、流れる溶岩のような表情や溶岩が冷えて固まり、ゴツゴツとした気泡の跡を残す溶岩石のようなテクスチャーのものが多かったことから名付けられました。コレクターズアイテムとしてもファンが多く、近年ではヨーロッパを始め、アメリカや日本でも賑わいを見せている今後注目の芸術陶器です。こちらは西ドイツ製Jasbaの陶器の花瓶です。
Jasbaは1926年設立。創始者であるJacob Schwaderlappのクリスチャンネームの最初の二文字Jaと姓の一文字、それに設立していたBaumbachの頭文字を合わせたものを名前にしています。Jasbaは複雑な形状のものや明るい色を使用していることが有名でした。花器の生産は1971年まで。その後1980年代までその他装飾用の陶器を生産していました。そして現在はセラミックキッチンやバスルームのタイルを生産しています。
この年代のドイツ製陶器の多くが職人による手作業で製作されていたため全く同じ物が世界に2つとないと思われます。
1970年代に生産されたと思われる一品。
