#6 ブラキオサウルスブラキオサウルスの体の特徴は非常に長い首と後脚に比べてかなり長い前脚などがあげられ、その他にも頭の上部がドーム状に盛り上がっている事や、頭部の上の方に鼻孔があるなどのユニークな特徴を持っていました。
特徴的な長い首を持ち上げると頭部は高さ16mにも届いていたとされ、その高さを活かして古代の針葉樹などの高い木に生えている葉や新芽などを食べていたと考えられています。
ブラキオサウルスは非常に体の大きな恐竜ですが、頭骨はあまり大きくはなく、頭部の長さも約50cm程度で、敵が現れた場合には小さな頭部は使わず、長い尾を武器として使用していたと言われています。
