日本HIPHOPシーンの黎明期より、そのポジティブな姿勢と常に自然体であり続けるスタイルでシーンに確固たる地位を築いたSOUL SCREAM。 そのサウンドを支えるプロデューサー&DJとして、日本HIP HOPシーン屈指の人気を誇るDJ CELORY a.k.a. Mr.BEATS。 93年頃からDJを初め94年にHAB I SCREAM、E.G.G MAN、ALG、SHIKI(97年に脱退)に出会いソウルスクリームを結成。 以後現在に至るまで洋邦を問わずプロデュース&リミックスワークの多さで知られる一方でCLUB PLAYとしてのDJも大切にし数々のイベントで活躍中。 また、HIPHOPアーティストのキングギドラ、ライムスター、DABO、餓鬼レンジャーのみならず佐野元春、佐藤竹善&Char、YMO、山嵐、などのRemixやディズニー公認によるディズニー・ブレイクス・アルバムにも楽曲を提供している。 2003年3月には、HIP HOP、R&Bクリエイター陣が安室奈美恵とコラボレートしたプロジェクトSUITE CHICにも参加し、より広い層にその存在感をアピールする事で枠に捕らわれないマルチな才能を発揮している。 最近では、ZEEBRA 4th ALBUM「The New Begining」からの先行シングル「STREET DREAMS」の楽曲も担当し、高い評価を得ている。 更に、国内だけでなく海外のアーティストとの仕事も積極的に行っており、JIGMASTAS(クリミナル&DJ スピナ)、TALIB KWELI とのコラボレーションやBLACK THOUGHT(THE ROOTS)、SISQO、O.C.、PEANUT BUTTER WOLFのRemixなど間違いないBEATを提供。音に対するこだわりがCELORY BEATを完全に確立、 a.k.a.Mr BEATSの名にふさわしいサウンドを作り続けている。
